Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25/07/26
This website, pcwebdesign.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”), is operated by PC Web Design, trading name of PC Marketing Ltd. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or contact us through this site, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
We are a UK-based business, and this policy is written in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What Information Do We Collect?
We only collect information you choose to give us. Currently, the only way we collect personal information through this site is via our contact form, which asks for:
- Your name
- Your telephone number
- Your website URL (if you have one already)
- Any message or details you enter into the form
We do not currently take payments through this website, and we do not ask for or store any financial or card details.
We also collect basic, non-identifying visit data through our analytics tool — see “Cookies and Analytics” below.
How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the details you submit through the contact form only to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Discuss and provide the web design, hosting, or marketing services you’ve asked about
- Keep a record of our conversation with you, so we can follow up if needed
We do not use your contact details for marketing emails unless you separately ask us to, and we do not sell or pass your information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Independent Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that runs entirely on our own server.
- It does not use cookies
- It does not collect or store any information that identifies you personally
- It does not share data with Google, Meta, or any other third party — everything stays on our own hosting
Because of this, we don’t need to show you a cookie consent banner for analytics, as no personal data or tracking cookies are involved. If that changes in future — for example, if we start using Google Analytics or another tool that does use cookies — we’ll update this policy and add a cookie consent option at that point.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep contact form submissions only for as long as we need them to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for our own records (typically no longer than [X years] — standard UK practice is around 6 years for business records). After that, we delete it.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including using a reputable UK hosting provider and keeping our website software up to date. As with any online service, we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we don’t collect or store any sensitive financial information, which limits the risk if something did go wrong.
Do We Share Your Information With Anyone?
We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run this website or our business (for example, our web hosting provider or email service), but only where necessary, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
We will not transfer your information outside the UK/EEA unless a service we use requires it, in which case we’ll only use providers with appropriate safeguards in place.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Object to how we’re using it
- Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children’s Privacy
This website is aimed at businesses and adults, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or service that changes how we collect data. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
